About another Triple Crown Event...
"Jose & Beatrix Isaac of The Starlight Ballroom in Leesburg, Florida added $27,850 between them in Top Teacher prize money at the Florida State, bringing their total winnings to over $52,000 (correction included) for the Triple Crown Series. This is the richest prize in dancesport in America when you consider that the Triple Crown, organized by Larry & Dianne Dean is a series of only three competitions - The Florida State, Southeastern States and Southern States Championships. Beatrix was the actual Top Teacher at this year's Florida State held in the Boca Raton Resort and Club, July 24-29 (2001), a competition that maxed out a over 10,200 entries (including multi-dance events). This was the largest event ever in the history of the Triple Crown and should place it in the top three events in terms of entries in the USA this year."
